More About Judging

The overall objective of the website is to make a small contribution to Canadians’ legal literacy, in this case in understanding:

  • why judges do what they do,
  • how do they remain impartial,
  • why they are not like referees,
  • how do they make decisions in hard cases,
  • and so on.

Sometimes, I may stray into other topics that may not be specifically about judges but will always have a relationship with the judicial or legal world.

  • Why do Canadian judges work with judges in other countries?
  • How do judges work with other people in the courtroom, like jury members, witnesses, court staff.

Because this is a work in progress, suggestions for topics and questions that you may have about judging are welcome.
